I had a 2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3 that came down with a nasty case of piston slap as alot of GM's are known for. Mine would slap when first started from cold then go away. WebMy dodge 2005 1500 pickup with the hemi v8 overheats when ideling. If I fast idel at high rpm the heat goes down to normal. Also if I am moving down the road the heat is normal.
